British Waterways hosts some 32,000 boats. We want to work with the private sector to build new marinas to meet the growing demand in boating. If you are a land owner of private investor our New Marinas Unit is there to progress the building of your marina.

The New Marinas Unit provides expert advice to marina developers and ensure that they receive clear, consistent and timely responses from British Waterways as they progress their marina scheme through our Application Process. The Unit has a target to facilitate the construction of new off line moorings, and currently has a target of an additional 8,000 new berths by 2016.
